随着网络的发展，自助阅读和自助听力成为可能。教师可以利用网络技术和资源，开展自助性学习活动。比如《新视野大学英语视听说教程2》Unit 7 Does Money Talk？的听力部分，笔者是这样设计自助听力的。
Self-access listening
1.Work in groups to understand the listening materials.
2.Ask and answer and express your attitudes,your feelings and your choice.

Step 1 Each group chooses a topic and tries to obtain as much information as possible through listening.

Group 2:Printing money(Listening in Task 3)
Group 3 Use of credit cards(Further Listening Task 3)
Group 4:Investment(Listening in Task 1)
Step 2 Discuss and write questions to ask based on what you hear.
Step 3 Two from each group go to another group to tell them what you learn from listening and ask them about their opinions.
Step 4 Then report to class the opinions of“another group”and the“another group”judges whether your report is true.
Step 5 Each group reports about what you hear from another group.And the original group decides whether what you report is complete.
