体长：11～13厘米；体重：10～12克
俗名“黄豆雀”，因其体型很小而得名。它们是都江堰平原、山区最为常见的一种鸦雀。小体型，再加上同枯草相似的羽色，令棕头鸦雀极不起眼。它们常结成十余只的小群在灌丛、竹林、草丛、地上搜寻各种小昆虫以及虫卵、虫蛹，是庭院、公园的除虫义务工。活泼好动，生性畏人，当人靠近时，便吱吱惊叫，一只接一只钻进灌草丛中隐蔽起来。每年4月底，它们的第一窝幼鸟就会出壳。
Paradoxornis webbianus is a resident species which can easily be found in plains and hills at Dujiangyan area.It is small and its plumage color looks like that of withered grasses.Usually a dozen of Paradoxornis webbianus tends to flock together in shrubs and grasses,foraging on insects and pupas.And a clutch of eggs is hatched every April.
