通过对塔科马老桥垮塌事故的回顾和破坏机理的分析,可得出以下结论:
(1)由于频率差异很大,风荷载作用下加劲桥梁的大幅度扭转振动不可能是涡激振动,而是扭转颤振导致的。
(2)基于挠度理论设计的塔科马悬索桥,为降低成本和造型需要,采用抗弯刚度和扭转刚度都很小的加劲梁,是垮塌的主要原因。
(3)加劲梁为流线形很差的H型钝体,导致有负阻尼驱动的分离流扭转颤振、旋涡的交替形成及旋涡沿桥梁横截面的移动,使加劲梁从流场中吸收能量,并发散扭转,这是风致垮塌的机理。
