This was an observational project completed in two parts. First, students replicated the form, texture, and surface of a found stone using plaster, reductive carving techniques, and mixed mediums. Next, students were asked to build an object that communicated a specific idea/image while also transferring the formal qualities of a found stick. This was an additive process building on the observational skills developed in step one while requiring students to correspond with the viewer. In these projects, students could learn the way dealing with gypsum and the modeling method of multiple materials, and learn to express certain personal ideas in their works.
1.课题要求 Requirement

要求：观察石头的自然形态、纹理、色彩等要素，选用一定的技术模仿再现真实的自然石头；人造物能准确地表现模仿对象的造型、肌理、色彩等所有细节。
