宁波古称明州，变迁的历史街坊是老城区最深的古 色，明清代表性浙东传统民居“老墙门”依然幸存于街 巷深处。在山、海、平原交错的乡村自然环境中，分布 着不同类型的古镇、古村，祠堂、庙宇、戏台、茶亭、 稻场、盐田等飘逸着四明古风。全市现有国家级历史文 化名镇3座（慈城、石浦、前童），省级历史文化名城1 座（余姚），省级历史文化名镇2座（鸣鹤、梁弄）， 省级历史文化名村2处（岩头村、横坎头村），市级历 史文化名村10处，市级历史文化街区9处，县（市）区级历 史文化保护区16处。
Ningbo， named Mingzhou in ancient times， is a famous Historic and Cultural City in China. You may still find historic blocks and traditional folk houses of Eastern Zhejiang there. Within the complicated environment staggered by mountain， sea and plain， different types of ancient counties， ancient villages， ancestral halls， stages and salt fields spread over there. Nowadays， there are 3 National Historic and Cultural Towns （Cicheng， Shipu and Qiantong）， ɪ Provincial Historic and Cultural city （Yuyao）， 2 Provincial Historic and Cultural Tovvns（ Minghe and Liangnong）， 2 Provincial Historic and Cultural Villages（ Yantou and Hengkantou）， 10 Municipal Historic and Cultural Villages， 9 Municipal Historic and Cultural Blocks and 16 Historic Areas of District Level.
