复合句是由两个或两个以上的分句构成，时间状语从句在复合句中做时间状语的分句。

① 引导时间状语从句的关联词除了when以外，还有 while, as soon as,not . . . until 等。
② When引导的时间状语从句中，有些主句是将来时，从句要用一般
现在时，遵循“主将从现”原则。
例如：I'll tell you when I get some information.

主句和从句可以同是现在时，也可以同是过去时：

While 引导的时间状语从句必须用延续性动词，主句动词则分2种情况：

小贴士
时间状语从句可以放在句末也可以放在句首。放在句首时，后面常用逗号隔开。

时间状语从句中，注意主句为一般将来时，从句通常用一般现在时表示将来，遵循“主将从现”原则。
例如: When I go to China tomorrow, I'll eat a lot of delicious food.
