摘要：光绪庚子年（1900年），江南制造局翻译出版了《照相镂板印图法》。全书共一卷九章附图一，美国人贝列尼原著，卫理口译，王汝冉笔述。该书首次在中国介绍了西方的照相凹版制版技术，对研究照相凹版制版技术的引入和发展具有重要意义。本文考证了该书的英文底本，介绍了该书的部分内容，并以中译本中介绍的一些历史人物及事件为线索，对19世纪照相凹版制版工艺的发明及演变进行了简单梳理。

The Preliminary Exploration of Zhaoxiang Louban Yintu Fa

Abstract:In 1900,Jiangnan Manufacturing Bureau translated and published Zhaoxiang Louban Yintu Fa.The book,interpreted by Wesley and written by Wang R uran,was originally written by Blaney from America.It has a volume composed of nine chapters and one picture in all.Because of the introduction of the platemaking in photogravure to China for the first time,this book is very important for studying the introduction and development of the plate-making in photogravure.This paper confirms the English version of the book and introduces some ofits contents.With some historical figures and events introduced in the Chinese version as clues,the invention and evolution of plate-making technology of photogravure in the 19th century are briefly sorted out．

《照相镂板印图法》（见图1）主要介绍了19世纪末期西方使用的“塔尔博特—克利施”照相凹版制版工艺（Talbot-Klič process），是江南制造局翻译出版的为数不多的专门介绍印刷制版工艺的译著之一。全书共一卷九章附图例，按照原署名，原著作者是美国人贝列尼，译著由美国人卫理口译、乌程县（今浙江湖州）王汝冉笔述，1900年在江南制造局印刷出版。
