Thesis abstract

The burgeoning modern logistics service industry is of the tertiary sector of the economy. It is an industry indispensable to a sustainable economy.

From more than ten years of trials and errors, practice and experience, Shenghui has developed a tested managerial method named point-line-web system that provides a strong feasibility and applicability. Its origin, Shenghui logistics Inc. is a well established and award-winning brand based in Fujian. With more than 600 vehicles, 2600 staffs and 232 million total assets, it has been receiving multiple awards from local and national government. 13 years ago, it all started with a family, three people and a truck. Its 13 year from its birth owes its success all to the aforementioned point-line-web system. The basics of the system is this: manpower is the momentum and the market is its fulcrum. We need to look over both the organization and management, each consists of four key points, the institution, the viability, the establishment and the human resource; the vehicles-the sources of the cargo, the transport and the manpower. We need to consider all these aspects both individually and systematically, hence the name point-line-web system.

This thesis will digest this method in 7 separate sections, namely, the introduction, performance, concepts, anatomy, feasibility, and theoretical research.
