如何写好教师推荐信？

（一）学校教师或教授的推荐

学术方面的推荐信一般是请教师或教授写，推荐人的学术领域或专业背景最好是与申请人申请科系相同，也可委托与学校或学校评审委员关系密切的人撰写。如果尚未毕业，可请系主任或者专业任课教师作为推荐人；如果已经毕业，则可请大学毕业论文指导老师或任课教师、系主任作为推荐人。学校骄傲教师的推荐一般侧重于被推荐人的专业基础、个性、特点、工作（研究）态度以及深造学习的基础和当前所具备的研究能力。

例如：

Dear Mr.Stewart,

I am writing to you in support of Mr.Ryan Bailey and his desire to attend New York University for the Ph.D.program.Though many students ask me to make this request on their behalf,I only recommend students whom I feel are well-suited for the program of their choice.Mr.Bailey is one of those students and therefore,I highly recommend that he be given the opportunity to attend your university.

As a professor of Chemistry Department at Wuhan University,I work with many students who have substantial knowledge of chemistry.Mr.Bailey has consistently shown such a strong desire to learn chemistry that I simply could not turn down his request for recommendation.

（二）工作部门领导的推荐信

工作部门领导的推荐信对于那些强调有实际动手能力的专业来说尤为重要，即使没有实际工作经验的人也可以请自己曾经兼职过的工作单位领导或实习单位领导写推荐信。如果曾跟某位教授从事过科研项目的话，可以请该教授对自己的工作能力和科研能力等方面进行评价和推荐。一般着重于对申请人个人特质做出评估（如：沟通能力、成熟度、抱负、领导能力、团队工作能力，以及正直等）或指出需要改进的地方。

例如：

I would like to take an opportunity to offer a formal recommendation for Jane Glass.As the Senior Coordinator for Heartland Commerce I have known Jane for approximately two years and feel that she is a deserving candidate for your business school program.

一般来说，第三封推荐信可以根据申请者的个人需要选择推荐人，推荐信内容通常是对申请者的个人性格的描述和说明。个人性格可以由那些与自己有密切接触的相关人士来反映，如上司、老师、同事、合作伙伴等。重点放在申请者的性格、综合素质、能力特长、课内课外整体表现等方面。
