生物医药产业是成都自贸试验区的重点发展产业，自贸区的政策灵活性可以为生物医药专项政策提供便利，提高药品供应链的效率。生物城聚焦生物医药产业的通关服务平台，集聚一批供应链物流企业，构建有效推动生物医药陆空联运进出口的机制。在“蓉欧快铁+空港物流”的高效口岸节点体系基础上，依托双流自贸综合保税区，多方共同建立起了一个集进口通关、药检、药监、仓储物流为一体的综合服务平台。
为保障运输过程中药品的药效，园区内1.5万平方米冷链物流仓库正加快建设，其中2000平方米是保税冷链物流仓库，全面建成后将跻身国内冷链物流设施基地和服务能力的第一梯队。
2019年，成都国际生物医药供应链大会上，国药西南公司和成都天府国际生物城投资开发有限公司，合资成立成都天府国际生物城供应链服务有限公司，为国际国内药械企业选择成都通关提供专业化服务。2020年4月，跨国医药企业艾尔建首批医疗产品在成都通关。这是跨国企业首次选择在成都通过空铁两条路径实施通关，标志着成都建设全球生物医药供应链服务中心正式落地并已具备服务全球能力。

Focusing on customs clearance services for the biomedicine industry, the bio-town has pooled together a number of supply chain logistics companies to build an effective import and export mechanism that drives the combined land-air transportation of biomedical products. Based on the eff icient port system featuring Chengdu-Europe Express and airport logistics, and leveraging the Com prehensive Bonded A rea at Shuangliu FTZ, relevant parties have jointly built an integrated service platform that covers import customs clearance, drug testing, drug supervision, warehousing, and logistics.
The bio-town is accelerating the construction of a 15,000-square-meter cold chain logistics warehouse, including a bonded area of 2,000 square meters. Upon completion, the warehouse w ill have f irst-tier cold chain logistics facilities and service capacity in China.
In 2019, at the Chengdu International Conference for Biomedical Supply Chain, Sinopharm Southwest Medicine and Chengdu Tianfu International Bio-town Investment & Development Co., Ltd. announced to co-fund Chengdu Tianfu International Bio-town Supply Chain Services Co., Ltd. which would provide specialized customs clearance services for domestic and foreign pharmaceutical and m edical device com panies. In April 2020, A llergan, a transnational pharmaceutical giant, completed the custom s clearance procedures for its f irst batch of medical products in Chengdu. It was the first time that a multinational com pany chose to go through customs clearance procedures under a combined air-rail approach. It marked that Chengdu had off icially built a global biomedical supply chain service center w ith a global service capacity.
