雍正十二年（1734年），果亲王允礼奉命从四川泰宁护送达赖喇嘛回西藏。允礼是康熙第十七子，工书法、善诗词。此次四川之行，他在许多地方留下手迹，如剑门关的“天下第一雄关”、杜甫草堂的“少陵草堂”碑、武侯祠的“名垂宇宙”匾额等。果亲王途经双流时有感于成都历史上游宴之盛，写下了上面这首《行次双流》，并且把这幅字送给了当时的双流县令吴煊，吴县令如获至宝，将其刻在一方巨石上，这便是双流果亲王诗碑的来历。
双流还有许多极有价值的碑刻。1943年，双流东升乡挖防空洞时挖出了一座古墓。墓志上写着“泰熙元年二月十一日”的字样，泰熙是晋武帝的年号。两块巨大的青石做成的墓门上刻满了文字和图案，被称为晋碑。前来拓印之人无数，市面上也出现了大量晋碑拓片。可惜后来墓门湮失，现在仅能见拓本。1950年代，郭沫若曾两次问及晋碑下落，希望能够找到这件失踪的珍品，足见其价值。(www.xing528.com)
20世纪80年代中后期，修筑川藏公路时，在双流黄水一座石桥桥墩内发现了一方光绪年间的石碑，密密麻麻刻满了俊秀的文字，记载了这座名为“塔子桥”的修建故事。原来当年此处经常涨水，人马难行，一位名叫沈廷良的老者独自出资，征集工匠修了这座桥。沈廷良并不富裕也无意宣传自己的功绩。监修之人不忍这段往事就此埋没，于是刻了这方碑以彰显沈公高义。

In the 12th year of Emperor Yongzheng’s reign（1734）, Yunli, Prince Guo, was ordered to escort the Dalai Lama back to Tibet from Taining, Sichuan. Yunli, the seventeenth son of Emperor Kangxi, was good at calligraphy, poetry and lyrics. During this trip in Sichuan, he left his works of handw riting in various places. Particularly, when Yunli passed through Shuangliu, recalling the popularity of outings and feasts in Chengdu in the past, he w rote the poem Passing by Shuangliu shown above. He sent this piece of calligraphy to Wu Xuan, then magistrate of Shuangliu County. Wu was so overjoyed to receive such an invaluable gift that he had this poem inscribed on a huge rock. This is the origin of the Stone Tablet Inscription of Prince Guo’s Poem on Shuangliu.
