Huanglongxi, Muma Mountain and the state of Shu Han
三国鼎立，风云激荡。刘备政权据蜀而立，在双流留下大量蜀汉印记。双流牧马山原名宜城山，这里山势平缓，水草丰茂，既有良田，也有宽敞的地方操练士兵，是蜀汉重要的屯兵地。相传有天刘备登山，见金鼓齐鸣，旌旗猎猎，不远处军马成群。他甚为高兴，当即改名牧马山。
牧马山之所以出名，还因为有八阵图。八阵图是诸葛亮所创的玄妙阵法。在《三国演义》中，刘备败于陆逊，被火烧七百里连营，急退往白帝城，陆逊带数万精兵前去截堵，却被一个小小的八阵图挡住了去路，不敢进军。八阵图究竟有何神奇之处，已经难以知晓。如今四川史载八阵图共有三处，双流牧马山上的广都八阵图即为其一。

The Three Kingdom s period w itnessed the coexistence and confrontations between the states of Wei, Shu and Wu. The regime led by Liu Bei was based in Shu, so many traces of the state of Shu Han were left in Shuangliu. Particularly, Muma Mountain, or the Muma Mountain, in Shuangliu, was an important place for Shu Han to station its troops. On the Muma Mountain was placed the mysterious Stone Sentinel Maze（or Eight Trigrams A rray） created by Zhuge Liang.

《三国志》中还记载了黄龙溪的故事。黄龙溪扼蜀国水道要冲，水面宽阔，舟行方便，从黄龙溪到成都的水路只需半日行程，这里是诸葛亮的练兵之处，也是南征的出兵地点。当年刘备刚进成都时，一班文臣武将进言，希望刘备称帝。刘备忠于汉室，只自封了汉中王。然而不久后，黄龙溪发生了一次奇观。从鹿溪河上游下来的浊水冲进锦江，在水面呈现一条黄龙，活灵活现，持续九日方才消散。一众文臣武将大喜过望，真龙降世，岂不是神谕？于是八百人联合进谏，而此刻大汉天子已被曹丕放逐，刘备遂登基为帝。黄龙溪便成了天降祥瑞的福地。后来刘备命人铸造了一个一米高的龙形鼎，沉入江中，继而又在附近修建了一座黄龙庙。黄龙溪还有两座黄龙甘露碑，一座立于建安二十四年，一座立于建安二十六年。但事实上建安二十五年，汉朝就灭亡了，并不存在建安二十六年。蜀汉政权仍沿用汉朝的年号纪事，可见自认汉朝正朔的心态。(www.xing528.com)
Huanglongxi, a choke point of Shu’s waterways, was where Zhuge Liang trained the troops and the place of departure of his southward expedition. According to the Records of the Three Kingdoms, when Liu Bei first settled in Chengdu, a group of officials and generals urged Liu to proclaim himself emperor. Liu Bei, loyal to the Han court, only proclaimed himself king of Hanzhong. However, an auspicious spectacle appeared in Huanglongxi soon after. The turbid water from upstream Luxi River flushed in the Jinjiang River, forming the vivid shape of a yellow dragon on the surface. This spectacle had lasted for nine days before it disappeared. In light of this sign, Liu Bei became emperor.
