目前，斯密作品的标准版是格拉斯哥版的《亚当·斯密的作品和书信》，精装版由牛津大学出版社发行，平装版由自由资金发行。我从头至尾使用的都是后面这个版本，以下是斯密的著作在本书中的缩写形式：
