Among all the tasks when preparing the cargo, the exporter needs to pay special attentions to the Inspection.
In international trade, cargo inspection is the inspection conducted by a third, authorized party to testify whether the quality, quantity, package, etc. would be the same as those terms specified in the contract. After inspection, a certain kind of certificate will be issued. Most frequently-used certificates are: inspection certificate of quality, weight, quantity, origin,value, damaged cargo and health, etc. Cargo inspection is an indispensable clause of a contract to protect the interests of both the buyer and the seller. It is usually conducted by state commodity inspection agency, authentic surveyor, or manufacturer and user.
In an international trade contract, the place and time of inspection should be clearly specified. The terms of delivery used, the nature of the commodity and packing, and the laws or regulations of different nations may decide the place and time of inspection. Usually when EXW is used, the cargo should be inspected at the factory when delivery is made. If DDU or DDP is used, inspection is usually conducted at the named point of the importing country.Sometimes, according to certain laws and regulations of importing nations, cargo should be inspected before loading by a nominated inspection agency.(www.xing528.com)

1. Shipping quality and weight
2. Landed quality and weight
3. Inspection at the port of shipment and re-inspection at the port of destination
